Sometimes I long to be able to sleep in.  Actually, I can’t remember the last time I did sleep in.

The sounds of toddler foot steps, morning duties, and work – is always calling.  Nevertheless, I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Life is to short to worry, or place our attention on things that only draw negativity or empty thoughts.

I know, I know, sleeping in isn’t that much of an issue – but it’s interesting how one little thought can grow and take over our minds.  That’s why it is important to start each and every day withgratitude.

Wikipedia states the following about gratitude – “Gratitude, thankfulness, gratefulness, orappreciation is a feeling or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive. “ states that gratitude is “the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful”.

The “feeling” of being grateful or thankful – goes a long way.  In that moment of waking, when all my body want to do is sleep – I focus my attention to what I am thankful for.  I have found by focusing my energy on the positive and being grateful for eg… little foot steps in my home, the blessing of work, and the love from family – the negative, the tried, the unknown melts away, and motivation sets in.

I encourage you to breath gratitude into your life today.

Look at some of the areas you want to change in your life.  The areas that need clear intention, and find – gratitude.

Practice gratitude this week, and experience the power of positivity and possibility in your life.
