I’ve never posted a THROW BACK THURSDAY – so I thought why not? It’s a great tag line for us all to look back over the years and reflect on moments that either inspired us, drew a deep happiness of gratitude or just a plan old funny moment. I decided to share some images from my time spent on the Emmy Ward Winning program – Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I worked as a designer on the show for three season (5,6,and 7th season). The thing I miss the most about the show is the incredible people I met in each town.
Through out my design and building career, I have had the pleasure of work with some incredible people – on and off screen.
While working on EMHE I felt every town had a story, and every story had beautiful faces I won’t forget. If I had an image of everyone I met, or who helped me build furniture, and who helped execute a room in a matter of days – I’d post them ALL here!!!
Nevertheless, here are a few courtesy of some great friends on Facebook. Thank you Anthony Leone, Sarah Gladis, Lisa Hanson Scott, Brittany Campbell, Cindy Jenkins Umpluby, Lori Ford Palumbo, & the fabulous Andy McEntee for sharing great memories, and inspiring my first “throw back Thursday.”
If you have any great memories you’d love to share – post a comment below.
Lead by Ty Pennington – we always found ourselves talking about what we would do!
These are the moments we ALL lived for – the moment before a family saw their new home.
The big pay off!
I can’t tell you how many volunteers I met during my travels with the show. So many amazing people who wanted to be a part of something great!
On every house that I had the pleasure of being a part of, I always woke up early to make sure I was out there doing the work along side volunteers. Sub flooring was one of my favorite jobs!
There were so many crew members – BUT Andy McEntee made me always feel like I was a part of HIS team!
Anthony – what can I say… You were simply amazing. I can’t count how many episodes you volunteered your time on and how many projects you did
We couldn’t do it without the support of local law enforcement!
I love building!
Wow – I look serious here. lol
I will never forget this woman – what a blessing!
Memories – they provoke so many feeling, and this TV series was never short of them! If your’e wondering where you can see the show – You can still catch the show on CMT!
